Hunting and Fishing in Camp

Hunting

Musser Scout Reservation offers a small hunting program as part of our conservation efforts that is capped at a limited number of hunters each year. Approved hunters will need to pay a property hunting fee, provide a PA State Game license, and provide some additional information before being granted approval to hunt on the property. This will give them access to hunt the property during select hunting seasons. Interested hunters contact Ranger Lynn at ranger@mussersr.org.

Fishing

The Unami Creek, which runs through Musser Scout Reservation’s Camp Hart and Camp Delmont subcamps, provides an opportunity for our Scouting community and the public (non-scouting) to fish.

The Scouting community is allowed to fish at the following locations, in addition to the areas open to the public listed below:

     – Camp Hart – from the camp side of the creek when camping or participating in an event at Musser Scout Reservation (Camp Hart or Camp Garrison).

     – Camp Garrison – Kiwanis Lake, located at “The Ship”, offers only the Scouting community another opportunity to fish when camping at Camp Garrison.

The public community (non-scouting) are permitted to fish from the shoreline of Camp Delmont along Swamp Creek Road, but NOT the shoreline of Camp Hart along Swamp Creek Road.

Reminder – A PA State fishing license is required, and all state and local regulations must be followed when fishing on Musser Scout Reservation property. A heads-up: The Unami Creek is a stocked trout stream.
